[Jesus] raised His eyes to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son now so that He may bring glory to You, for You have given Him authority over all men to give eternal life to all that You have given to Him. And this is eternal life, to know You, the only true God, and Him Whom You have sent - Jesus Christ. I have brought You honor upon earth, I have completed the task which You gave me to do. Now, Father, honor Me in Your own presence with the glory that I knew with You before the world was made. [After He rose from the dead, He told His disciples:] "All power in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. You, then, are to go and make disciples of all the nations and baptize them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to observe all that I have commanded you and remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the world."
   [Around 95 A.D. the apostle John received a revelation of future events. He was the last apostle alive of the original Twelve. At the end of this revelation, he wrote these words:] "Then the angel said to me, 'These words are true and to be trusted, for the Lord God, Who inspired the prophets, has sent His angel to show His servants what must shortly happen. See, I come quickly! Happy is the man who pays heed to the words of the prophecy in this book.' It is I, John, who have heard and seen these things. At the time when I heard and saw them I fell at the feet of the angel who showed them to me and I was about to worship him. But he said to me, 'No! I am a fellow-servant to you and to your brothers, to the prophets and to those who keep the words of this book. Give your worship to God!' Then he added, 'Do not seal up the words of the prophecy in this book, for the time of their fulfillment is near . . .'
   "Now I bear solemn witness to every man who hears the words of prophecy in this book: If anyone adds to these words God will add to him the disasters described in this book; if anyone takes away from the words of prophecy in this book, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city which are described in this book. He, Who is witness to all this, says, 'Yes, I am coming very quickly!'" Amen, come, Lord Jesus! The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all His people.
