Had your eyes checked lately? Lifescope says, [Jesus said:] "If your eye is pure, there will be sunshine in your soul. But if your eye is clouded with evil thoughts and desires, you are in deep spiritual darkness. And oh, how deep that darkness can be!" [He also taught:] "And why worry about a speck in the eye of a brother when you have a board in your own? Should you say, 'Friend, let me help you get that speck out of your eye,' when you can't even see because of the board in your own? Hypocrite! First get rid of the board. Then you can see to help your brother." The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord is on His heavenly throne. He observes the sons of men; His eyes examine them. Sin appeals to the wicked deep in his heart; no dread of God is present before his eyes. For in his own eyes he flatters himself too much to detect or hate his sin. Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to Your word. My eyes fail, looking for Your promise; I say, "When will You comfort me?" My eyes fail, looking for Your salvation, looking for Your righteous promise. Streams of tears flow from my eyes, for Your law is not obeyed. My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on Your promises. You save the humble but bring low those whose eyes are haughty. My eyes grow weak with sorrow; they fail because of all my foes. Be merciful to me, O Lord, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief. My heart pounds, my strength fails me; even the light has gone from my eyes. I am worn out calling for help; my throat is parched. My eyes fail, looking for my God. I lift up my eyes to You, to You Whose throne is in heaven. But my eyes are fixed on You, O Sovereign Lord; in You I take refuge - do not give me over to death. My heart is not proud, O Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me. Taken from Mt. 6, 7, Psa. 36, 119, 18, 6, 31, 38, 69,
